The Earth4All model was developed by an international research consortium under the Club of Rome and the Stockholm Resilience Centre as a further development of the legacy of Limits to Growth.

The model maps the links between economy, society and nature – e.g. between population, resources, food, energy, inequality, well-being and social trust – and shows how different policy scenarios (“too little, too late” vs. “The great leap”) affect human well-being on a finite planet.

The EuroGreen model is also state of the art in ecological macroeconomics.

It uses system dynamics to analyze the interaction between sectors (energy, industry, agriculture, households, public sector) and resource consumption over time, and to test the effects of, for example, CO₂ taxes, green investments and distribution policies on the economy, employment, climate and social inequality.

WELA's new calculation model is being developed in close collaboration with the two respective research teams from the Club of Rome and the University of Pisa, as well as a Danish research team of economists at Aalborg University. To ensure the validity and quality of the model, leading Danish researchers from various relevant disciplines will also contribute to the development.
