Lea Fick Køhn

Lea’s motivation for working with Wellbeing Economy comes from her belief that a sustainable economic system is not just about money but should also focus on people's wellbeing. She is driven by a desire to develop solutions that integrate economic development with human welfare, while creating value for both organizations and society as a whole.

Lea has a background in developing and building impact-oriented organizations. She has worked in various roles within the ecosystem and has extensive leadership experience. Lea has developed and led large programs focused on knowledge generation, innovation, co-creation, and system change. Her work has primarily focused on creating positive change for the most vulnerable and marginalized groups. Additionally, Lea is experienced in navigating complex systems and bringing together stakeholders to achieve long-term results. She has previously worked as Impact Manager at the Social Development Center and Program Manager at the Rockwool Foundation. Lea also has many years of experience in the NGO sector and in local government.

In her role at WELA, Lea will help create and develop an impact-oriented organization that can fulfill its ambitious mission and drive sustainable change. She will strengthen WELA’s ability to develop methods and strategies for “new economic thinking” and system change, leveraging her experience in co-creation and promoting collaboration across different stakeholders.

Lea is a family-oriented person and mother of three children. She values time spent with friends and family and enjoys experiences that foster closeness. Lea can often be found on the sidelines or at the stadium on weekends, with a strong passion for football. In addition, she enjoys yoga and winter swimming as a way to unwind.
